Registry agents provide information on vehicle and driver services.

Vehicle services:

vehicle registrations – vehicle information reports – personalized licence plate applications – antique licence plates – in-transit permits – some prorate services

Driver services:

searches – driving abstracts – driver licensing and testing – commercial licensing – motorcycle and off-highway licensing – suspensions – fine payments – information on vehicle seizures

Driver’s knowledge test:

Before getting any class of licence in Alberta, you will need to take a drivers knowledge test. This tests your knowledge of traffic laws.

"I dread anytime I have to go in there. The staff are rude and condescending. They act like the customers are such a bother. On my last visit, while I was sitting waiting for the staff member to print off papers etc., I noticed her cubicle walls were adorned with pictures, cartoons and little quotes.....all pertaining to how annoying customers were!!! I thought "wow! Put this in your staff room, if that`s how you feel, but don`t plaster it right at the desk you sit at to provide service to the public!" How do these people still have a job? How is this place still open for business? Its not always possible to go to another town or I would. Medicine Hat on 13th has a professionally run registry. Its like night and day compared to the Brooks office. WORST STAFF EVER!!! One star is too much."

"I hoped i wouldn't agree with everybody else but the rudeness unprofessional in experienced staff ever best to just close the place heard nothing but bad and 100% agree i would drive 100 kms before i ever contact them again. i wish there was a start less then one because they need a - 5 star rating"

"I went twice after work to get a registration renewed. I arrived 15 min before closing both times. I was turned away twice because of computer issues on their end, and then the second time because they couldn't work through the line that had built up ( all of whom had arrived before closing) Before covid I was able to come in, sit down and get service, but now that people are lined up outside they cut them loose instead of resolving their issues. The lady was nice enough about giving us the boot, but didn't want to understand that we didn't come near the end of the day by choice. It would be better if the registry could accommodate a 8-4:30 work day. Although 9-5 would be more realistic for most other people."
