Knowledge tests for all licence classes are offered in all DriveTest Centres. Knowledge tests are written tests that determine whether you have a good understanding of the rules of the road and traffic signs. They consist of multiple-choice questions based on the official drivers handbooks.

Road tests (for cars/vans/small trucks; motorcycles; and commercial vehicles) assess your driving skills according to MTO criteria. A road test involves driving your own vehicle with a driver examiner as an observer.

"I went at this location to take my G2 test. The staff was very polite and helpful. I arrived earlier than my scheduled appointment and i got to do the test a little early. The instructor during my drive ( a female ) was fair, nice and polite. I recommend you taking your test there!"

"I honestly feel for the staff in these places. They get yelled at all the time for charging random fees, or not clearly communicating with people, or even for the ministries confusing operation. There is no reason why people should be in such a miscommunication for just trying to figure out how there own provinces licencing system works. There seems to really be some serious money being made at the expense of peoples lack of knowledge, and at there literal expense as well."

"Terrible place to do your G test. Prior to me taking the test my mom went there, she failed because the instructor told her that she didn’t look at all 3 mirrors enough. Once she told me that I was making sure I was looking at all 3 mirrors every 15 seconds, specially in turns. After the test the instructor says that I barely passed. He said that I didn’t look at my mirrors enough so that’s the major reason why I almost failed. After that I’m sure that my mom should have passed, if the instructor considers looking at all 3 mirrors every 15 seconds not enough, then I wonder what he would have considered “enough”? Do they not want you to look at the road at all and just look at all 3 mirrors? I even started stopping in between turns to tell the instructor that I was looking at all 3 mirrors so he would be aware. Seriously, very unrealistic and unsafe for someone to not be looking straight at the road that amount of times. If for every 15 seconds, and every turn looking at All 3 mirrors is not enough, then idk what is..."

"After waiting to be able to get a Doc appointment for a required physical I arrived with documents in hand only to be told that this was not the week for my birth month. They are trying to clear all the overwhelming numbers by renewing first six months one week then the other six months the next then repeat until all licenses during the lock down are processed. Fortunately there was only one person ahead of me and another person. The staff offered to renew owners if we wanted to wait. But if people came the would be taken first. After a wait of about 30 minutes I'm in, out and good until my next annual physical. Great, helpful people there."
