Knowledge tests for all licence classes are offered in all DriveTest Centres. Knowledge tests are written tests that determine whether you have a good understanding of the rules of the road and traffic signs. They consist of multiple-choice questions based on the official drivers handbooks.

Road tests (for cars/vans/small trucks; motorcycles; and commercial vehicles) assess your driving skills according to MTO criteria. A road test involves driving your own vehicle with a driver examiner as an observer.

"Behind the counter staff were friendly and competent. The 'supervisor lady' (Diane?) kept coming up and whispering stuff into the staff's ears completely ignoring people being helped. All she had to do was to just greet people being helped as a courtesy instead of treating them/us like nobodies. Another darker lady (Christine) seems to be the one they go to for help. She seems to be the one that knows everything and had no problem running behind the scene helping whoever needs her advice. The supervisor/manager (Diane?) can perhaps do with a refresher course on providing public service and management. The door lady who was directing traffic was very efficient and helpful. She was good at directing everyone and helping to answer all kinds of questions. I hope she gets the recognition for doing her job very well."

"Excellent service provided by the staff here. I have gone through previous reviews and the service they provide is surprisingly different. May be they have changed their staff. I am so happy that they are working in these trying times. Yesterday I got my G license and the instructor was so polite and well mannered. I would recommend going to Kitchener drive test centre to everyone."

"I went to this Drive Test centre during covid 19 restrictions. This place is well organized, welcoming lady at the door who asked about the purpose of visit and clarified some rules that are in place. The processing of the visit was very quick and I was out of this office in 35 minutes. My suggestion is to be at this place as early in the morning as possible because it serves a huge radius of cities that are near Kitchener. Thank you staff for the wonderful service."
