Knowledge tests for all licence classes are offered in all DriveTest Centres. Knowledge tests are written tests that determine whether you have a good understanding of the rules of the road and traffic signs. They consist of multiple-choice questions based on the official drivers handbooks.

Road tests (for cars/vans/small trucks; motorcycles; and commercial vehicles) assess your driving skills according to MTO criteria. A road test involves driving your own vehicle with a driver examiner as an observer.

"Unfortunately I had a bad experience here. The staff (specifically the man who evaluated my test) was very rude and short with me. I said hello when he approached my car and he said “turn your front light on”. He made me a do a parallel park in someone’s drive way and not by a curb then told me I didn’t do it right. At the end of my test he didn’t not give me my paper with my evaluation on it. He told me I just didn’t pass. I later then had a great experience at the Espanola Drive test centre, wonderful staff."

"I woudn't suggest anyone to try this Drive Test Center for test. While waiting for my G test, i saw many people were simply failed. People were mad at them. I have been driving for 10 years around the world . They failed me too. Still don't know why??? It seems like the examiner(old man) aimed to fail people."

"I took the my 2nd road test for Full G, here. The examiner, Lisa was nice and calm. She did her job professionally. Also all staff in the office were kind. Actually I took my 1st road test at another drive test center. It was an unpleasant experience. The examiner was grumpy and rude. And she yelled at me seriously several times during the test. I was totally shocked. And she made me more nervous. I couldn't focus on driving. And I failed. That's why I took my 2nd road test here, in Sudbury. It worked out. I got my Full G license here. I think it's a good place to take your test! Good luck to everyone who is reading my review. :)"
